They then work hard to incorporate these into our varied activities programme so that we are always providing our residents with engaging and stimulating activities to do.

Our residents are able to lead an active and pleasant lifestyle thanks to our location, which benefits from both sea and mountain views. Whether it’s with family or friends, Argyll and Bute is never short of places to discover.

We are fortunately situated in the stunningly rural region of Argyll and Bute, an area that encapsulates multiple green spaces, nature reserves and wildlife. Our location lends itself nicely to our residents, who we often encourage to take advantage of the local community by exploring nearby places and getting some fresh air. Some of the more notable places close to our home include McCraigs Tower and Kilchurn Castle which are both great for soaking in the areas rich history, as well as taking in the fantastic views. Rated as the top thing to do in Argyll and Bute by TripAdvisor, Oban Distillery offers a great day out learning about the ins and outs of one of Scotland’s most famed offerings, and is only 15 minutes from Etive House Care Home.

There are lots of tourist attractions within the area that are perfect for taking our residents out on excursions and for their families when they visit. It is a place steeped in history and this is evident from the vast amount of castles, museums and landmarks. Dunollie Museums, Castle and Grounds, Dunstaffnage Castle and Chapel and Oban War and Peace Museum are to name but a few, and offer an interesting insight into the local region, all within 1 hour of our home. No matter whether you’re interested in culture, cuisine or coast and countryside, there is something exciting around every corner in Argyll and Bute.
